In December 2023, SUBMERGED lit up Cube2 in MediaCityUK with an immersive digital installation that blended storytelling, 3D art and environmental awareness into one powerful experience. Designed and developed in collaboration with my university peers, and in partnership with Yorkshire Life Aquatic and Quays Culture, SUBMERGED invited viewers into a visually rich underwater world to confront the urgent realities of rising sea levels and water pollution.​​​​​​​

As part of LightWaves Festival 2023, McHugh Media led the marketing strategy and digital promotion for the installation, resulting in over 5,000 unique online interactions and 40,000+ in-person views in MediaCity. From campaign graphics and social content to scheduling and engagement tactics, the goal was to not only attract audiences but to drive home the message in a way that was accessible and emotionally resonant.

The installation itself was a 3D-modelled underwater experience, built to simulate a sunken environment affected by human impact. Combining creative technology with sustainability storytelling. It served as a reminder of what we stand to lose, but also as a celebration of collaborative creativity for change.
SUBMERGED represents what McHugh Media is all about: using digital media and immersive visuals to tell meaningful stories and connect with audiences across platforms and spaces.
